THOUGHTS: It feels like Phantogram has been touring endlessly for the past two years. I first caught their live act opening for M83 at the Hollywood Bowl in the fall 2013. The second time I saw them live was at First City Festival in August of 2014. At Air+Style, I knew what to expect, and Sarah Barthel, Josh Carter and company delivered. The only thing that could have added to the set would have been new music, but I’m sure that they’ll be heading into the studio to record their new album sooner rather than later. New music notwithstanding, the music still revved up their fans. I even heard a young girl in the audience proclaim, “Sarah Barthel is my spirit animal.” I thought that was cute.
