THOUGHTS: Rain be damned, the show must go on! Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros took the main stage in the early afternoon just as the first wave of shower hit the festival. Despite the drizzly conditions and relatively small crowd, Alex Ebert and company did their best to engage the soaked audience with their “sunny” tunes. I looked around and noticed that despite the inclement weather, fans holding umbrellas or dressed in plastic garbage bags were all singing along and dancing in the rain. A hippie movement? Perhaps. A good time, I sure thought so. Though you can’t hear it all to well in the video clip below, a highlight of the performance was when Alex had the audience singing along to the band largest hit “Home”.
