Los Angeles based indie-rock band The Janks just released their first single of 2015 and it’s titled “Edge Of Love”. This is a power ballad and it pretty much rocks.
I’m a huge fan of Modest Mouse. It’s been a while … 8 years, in fact … since they released their last album. When they announced a new LP titled “Strangers to Ourselves” at the end of last year, I couldn’t wait to hear the new music. R&B music ruled my high school years. If a girl I was “feenin'” for like R&B, I made sure at least one or two Jodeci recordings made the track list. I’m glad to hear them getting back to what roots. What do you think?
Last year, I attended over half a dozen concerts that were organized by Red Bull Sound Select for their month long “30 Days In L.A.” initiative, and I have to admit that each of the shows I attended was extremely well curated. With the new year, I’ve got new expectations, and since Red Bull Sound Select knocked it out of the park last year, and since Amoeba Music, the world’s largest independent record store, was curating the talent for the evening, my expectations were high.
